More Camping and Mexico

First of all where did July go. I felt like it was just yesterday that I put up my last post and then I looked back and realized it had almost been a month so sorry it took me so long.
As usual there was a camping trip in July. This time, it was just the Chances but we had a great time. There was a little shower on Sat afternoon but just enough to keep us from burning up. The entry into the lakw was a rocky sort of sand but Klayton loved digging in it and using his construction trucks.
More than anything Klayton was very worried about the boat. I don't think we went more than 5 minutes without Klayton saying "boat?" all weekend. I'll take that as a good sign that he enjoys the boat.

During the rain shower he played in the puddles and like any normal kid was dirty from head to toe. He had fun and we enjoyed watching so I guess that is all that matters. Here he found a little rock to stop and rest on. He is getting to be such a big boy!

Klayton also got a new toy this month (well it was used but new to him). It is just a small slide and play house for the backyard but it gives him something to do while he is outside and it didn't take him any time to figure it all out.
Then before we could hardly turn around we were headed to Mexico for a four day weekend (maybe that is why July went so fast). It was kind of a last minute vacation plan but it was wonderful. It was the same resort that we went on our honeymoon and we just love it. The food is amazing, the service is impeccable, the water blue, the drinks perfect... should I go on. needless to say we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I'll save you from all of the pictures but here are a few highlights.

Dinner (or drinks before dinner)

The beach - it lost some sand after hurricane Wilma in 05 but the water was as gorgeous as ever

and some reading/relaxing in the pool - we can't wait to go back

Klayton's Weekend Adventures

I started not to write a blog today because I didn't think a whole lot had been going on so I decided to check the camera and realized that Klayton has been a busy baby, excuse me toddler. And I remembered to take a few pictures.

As most of you know, I am supposed to be off for the most part on Thursday. That isn't always possible but recently I hired a new PT so that means more free time for me and that means more exciting adventures for Klayton. So this Thursday we went to play with the trains at Barnes and Nobles, went to a play date with Anneliese, and then finger painted with pudding. Here are the pictures of the painting and they pretty much tell the story.

Fingers, paper, funny stuff!!! Sorry about the diaper shots but it is just easier.

Then on Friday we played games at our house because Melinda was in town for a quick visit so Klayton and Anneliese sat down for some cake.

We also made brownies...

Read books wtih grandma,

And played in the boat as usual

What could be better. It looks like a fun few days if you ask me!!
