Halloween and Thanksgiving

Our Halloween costumes were fun if nothing else and we enjoyed wearing them even to the football game.  And trick or treating was totally not stressful.  We were by ourselves and started early and avoiding crowds and only went on a few streets but had plenty of candy.

Besides Konnor's birthday, Novemeber also had Carrie's 40th birthday and thanksgiving.  It was the start of a busy few weeks.  But it was all fun!

Oh yea, did I mention there was a couple of Aggie football games too.  Did I mention we had a fun busy few weeks.
The fun couple pics all came as a result of the fun we had during a wine pairing menu we planned while everyone was at our house.

Klayton

I vividly remember being 9 and being a 3rd grader.  That's scary because he is going to remember all of my silliness and all of my mistakes and yikes!  I think I need to up my game.
The Aggie football game was definitely the highlight of his birthday.  It was just Kevin and him and they went plenty early to see all of the sights.  He does love him some Aggie football.  This year he was excited because both games he went to A&M won.  Unlike my luck where we lost both games I went to.

Klayton chose a golf ball cupcake there were super easy but still turned out cute and even easier was his angle food birthday cake.  Dad and Jeanette joined us for a dinner of chicken friend deer steak.  That's a Kevin meal for sure.

His favorite present was probably the money he got to spend but he also got a watch and some fishing lures and some crazy race track (that he is already done playing with)

Klayton is still pretty well behaved although he does have the occasional time out at school for pushing or some other boy behavior.  He does love to play football on the Wi or xbox or run football routes or watch football or you get the idea.  He is still not a fan of movies although he has braved a few.  He is an emotional guy but is doing well in school and I love him so much.  I think he is going to be a lot like me.  That might be bad :(

Kenzie

I think she might be too grown up.  My 6 year old...where to begin.  She is a very smart little girl with a memory that is simply amazing.  She does great in school and all of the teachers seem to love her.  She is definitely girly.  She loves the cheerleaders at the football games and she is opinionated about all of her clothes (this is already our biggest argument).  For her birthday she got lots of clothes and accessories, including a giant horse,  for her "american girl" doll (or off brand).
The theme for this years activities was rainbow.  We made super cute rainbow cupcakes and instead of a cake we did a rainbow jello dessert.  Instead of a party, we had our first sleepover.  It was Clare and they did great together.
Kenzie loves her one on one time with either parent.  She doesn't really like her chores but she does like spending money on whatever she can.  I love watching her play with her friends.  She has made some friends with the neighbors and they jump on the trampoline a ton.  During school she plays a lot with the hula hoops and is not afraid of playing with the older girls.  She also has a "boyfriend" names Layne at school.  Oh brother!!  But she is serious about this.  She even went to his little brother and said, "I am your big brother's girlfriend."  So maybe she is a little possessive :)
I love you little girl!!  Thanks for keeping me on my toes and I look forward to a ton of "girly" stuff together.
