North Carolina

This past weekend Kenzie and I made her 1st flight to NC to see Melinda and Deuce. Carrie and Nathan also made the trek so that all the little kiddos could play together. Given the fact that I am not the best flyer because of nausea and all that, I was apprehensive about flying with a 17 month old but nevertheless, I loaded up a backpack of goodies and headed to the airport. My little darling did pretty good and I survived as well. She was definitely a busy bee and went from one toy to the next or one book to the next and ate lots of snacks. She melted when we started to land and she had to sit still but with a little apple juice she was happy again in no time. Of course I don't have any pictures because it was all I could do the entertain her, much less take pictures of her.

While we were in NC we mostly just relaxed which was nice. The kids played a little at the playground but mostly just enjoyed playing with someone else's toys. Dave took care of the kids during nap one day and after they went to bed one night so us girls could do what we always do: shop and then enjoy a few drinks. Here are some highlights.
Deuce sliding
Nathan blowing bubbles
Kenzie and Deuce chasing bubbles
enjoying the swings
sliding out of the bouncy chair (big kids love this toy)
Playing peek a boo with Deuce
Nathan on the princess phone
hitting balloons.
It was a fun, relaxing weekend and a great excuse to spend time with family.

Weekend Fun

I have been bad about taking pictures lately but my camera is partially to blame for that. It won't stay charged so every time I find the perfect picture opportunity my camera is out of battery. Anyway I finally got a few shots this weekend that were nothing special but that is sometimes the best part of the weekend.
Here is Klayton trying to read to Kenzie.
And the Kevin and Klayton watching the Olympics together.

And those three pictures are of the promised milk shake after being good in Church. Someone once said it wasn't bribery it was "reward for good behavior" so I adhere to that theory but I think they enjoy it either way.

And finally here are some pics from celebrating valentine's day. I have been trying to catch Kenzie dancing for a long time. She is hilarious but so far this is the best video I have.
