Visit from Aunt Melinda

What a fun week we had with Aunt "Mael" (as Klayton would say, it sounds really close to "mail" like mail box but he repeated it about a thousand times this week). It started in Hallettsville with a baby shower for Melinda and all in all I think things went pretty good. Of course she is now 6 months pregnant and you can barely tell in some pictures which makes me totally jealous but oh well. It was great to visit with everyone and I know Melinda was glad to see some of the Aunts and cousins. Unfortunately I didn't take very good pictures so here is one from the next morning.

Sorry Carrie is missing from the picture. I thought we took one with all of us but maybe it was with someone elses camera. Because Carrie and Richard and Austin were in town the boys got a great chance to play together and as always they were as cute as can be. I think there were a few fights over dump trucks but here they are playing with bubbles.

And then getting ready for bed...

Then this past weekend we made another camping trip. Melinda, Klayton, and I stayed at Lake Sommerville while Kevin headed to Hallettsville for the "can't miss fantasy football draft :)" but we handled the outdoors just fine. Then on Saturday the family joined us. I really mean family: Dad, Jeanette, Uncle Lary, Aunt Linda, Aunt Marla, her friend Raz, Kristen, Jason, and of course Kevin. It was fun to watch Dad and Uncle Lary ski and we even let Melinda and her pregnant self ski a few times. Definitely brought back some memories of growing up and as usual Klayton had a blast. Yes it was hot but we stayed around a fan or in the water and hardly noticed (or chose to ignore) how hot is really was. Here are a few highlights from the trip.

And kevin cooked a wonderful dinner for all of us. It was a great weekend. Not the best pictures of Klayton so I'll try to do better next time.
