Tractor Birthday

I know it is a little late for Klayton's birthday party but he told us he wanted to wait for Austin to be in town so we waited. As most of you know last year we did backhoes so this year we had to do a little something different but that is still one of Klayton's favorite things so we switched to tractors (with a backhoe thrown in). We played a few games (that of course always go better in my mind that the actual event but nonetheless we did it). We started with apple animals and made a big mess. The highlight of the evening was the actual tractors. Since we live close to the golf course we were able to do this this year. Here is everybody watching the tractors drive up.
Then it was time to hop on and go for a ride.and the big boys played a little with the backhoe bucket and blamed it on the little kids.
Everyonse of course hopped on the tractor for a ride but I will let their parents share those pictures. Here is a picture of the whole gang minus Nathan and Jordan who didn't wat to join the picture.
Then it was time for eating and cake. The tractor cake was simple but it worked.
Klayton had a great time as you can see by the smile and thanks to everyone who came to celebrate with us.
Here are a few snaps from last weekend before the A&M game. I know the result of the game wasn't too good but Kenzie was too cute to pass up.

On Sat. night Kevin and I went to a wedding and Aunt Marla kept Kenzie for us (Klayton was at Grandpa's house). Here she is with her bracelets and new purse. She adores those bracelets and has to wear them everywhere.

I finally took time to check out most of the Henke family blogspots and I feel like I just had a visit with all of you!! You all are so talented with your colorful, creative blog spot designs! I must take some lessons on that aspect of blog spotting somtimes. If anyone wants to see what the Barta family has been up to, I actually have summarized a few of our family's happy times at my "plain vanilla" boogspot at www.mostlyretired.blogspot.com ...
