Carrie's Birthday and Aggie Game

One of the many reasons I love the fall is that we get to see Carrie and Richard so much because they have season tickets to the UT games and try to make as many as possible. This year however, both times they came to town we went out of town or had major events going on. So this weekend the Ellis's got here on Friday and as usual we did lunch at Chuy's and then headed to the house for a relaxing afternoon. Then on Saturday morning we headed to College Station (that was the actual day of Carrie's birthday so she had to have a birthday candle in her breakfast cookie). We tried to let Carrie sleep in a little and here are the boys helping me make rice krispie squares (I think Klayton screaming that he burnt himself woke her up but we tried)We were given tickets to the A&M game so we decided to take the whole gang and join Kevin's friends for their annual tailgate. The weather was a little chilly and there was some occasional drizzling from the sky but we had a great time nonetheless.

Can you say muddy children. Then it was off to the game. Normally 2:00 is nap time at our house but 2:00 is also game time so considering that, the game started wonderfully. Klayton was so excited he could hardly sit still and he loved hearing the "spirit of aggieland" and "war hymn" being sung. With a few snacks we managed to make it until mid way through the 3rd quarter when Kenzie couldn't stay awake any longer. Luckily the game was a big win and with Kenzie asleep in my arms we enjoyed the rest of the game.Klayton has been playing "aggie football" at our house all week. Complete with 12th man towels, water bottles, and an aggie football. He even asked if he could wear his bicycle helmet inside so he could hit his head like the football players do. So to all the UT fans, look out. Klayton is practicing.

Last week Kenzie also experienced her 1st sucker. I had to share the fun times with you.

You can tell she thoroughly enjoyed it and yes I had to put a bib on her because red sucker was getting everywhere.
