Of course Christmas is always special but even more so this year with the new baby. It was nice being at home more and really enjoying all the getting ready and special times with Grandma. I think we are also starting some new traditions as we blend my traditions of growing up and still getting to be with my family and then taking some time for just our family as well.
So we got to open our immediate family presents a little early because we were travelling and taking all those gifts to Hallettsville just didn't make sense. So we made a nice Christmas celebration at our house complete with decorating cookies.

Grandma did the cookies and it was lots of fun. She just used the cookie mix and then made a new icing that worked great. The cookies tasted excellent and the kids were able to help without too much of a mess.

Kenzie got mostly new clothes like any good girl would want and she changed clothes every time she opened something new. Maybe modeling is in our future :)
Christmas day at the hill...well it was even more exciting with three. Maybe that's why I don't have any good pictures. The kids played, the men drank beer and played dominoes and the women were perfect angels :) I was pretty good this year being that I was taking care of Konnor.

This is a few of the great grandkids but of course we can't get all of them
And one final video of Richard and Kenzie dancing. It was too cute!!!
Konnor didn't help with cookies but Kenzie made sure he wasn't left out.
Then it was on to opening presents. The kids weren't excited at all :)
We tried to take our time and continue our tradition of one present at a time and go in order from oldest to youngest. It was fun and as usual the kiddos are never afraid of showing emotions.
Christmas Eve and Christmas day were in Hallettsville with the whole gang. Not very often do we get to spend so much time in Hallettsville with everyone and it was controlled chaos but we wouldn't change it for the world.
Here we continued the tradition of PJ's for presents and even managed a picture with all of the grandkids and no tears.
And one final video of Richard and Kenzie dancing. It was too cute!!!
