Nonetheless, Kevin came hom saying there was a mother/daughter tea party at the club and I should take Kenzie. I wasn't excitedly thrilled about the whold idea to start. (OK I wasn't even a little excited about geting dressed up and having to be hoity toity around people I don't know). But when they said that a certain princess was going to make a surprise party I knew we couldn't pass it up.
So Kevin went to baseball, I went to a tea party, and Grandma watched Konnor. (I know three kids in three differnt locations; we are spoiled)
So Kevin, yes Kevin, talked all week about how to drink tea with your pinky in the air and how a princess would be making an appearance and Kenzie was so excited she could hardly stand it.
The waiting was intense :) At least for a 3 year old. But the end was well worth the wait.
That is worth a 1000 words. Of course the princess passed out wands
taught everyone how to curtsy
told a story
and even posed for pictures.
By the end, Kenzie felt like a true princess and it was a great reminder of what a special thing it is to have a little girl. We had a a great morning together and I do believe this will be one of those moments...
And I didn't have to be hoity toity. Just being with Kenzie was all I had to do. Shame on me for judging.
