We are starting to get back to some normalcy around the Chance household. Everything is coming along with the house and the business a little too so we are back to doing the things we enjoy as a family. One of the things at the top of that list is of course camping and we haven't been camping in over a year. That feels like an eternity to us :)
We planned a camping trip with the Ellis's to a place where we thought was somewhere close to the middle for both of us, the Frio River. It wasn't exactly the middle but we met anyway and had awesome weather. It was actually a cold 65 degrees on Saturday morning and I heard Mom telling me, "I told you to always bring a jacket and jeans." I love that voice!! It cleared up and we had a nice afternoon playing in the water.

The next adventure was to take the boat out. And again it has been a long time. And considering how old the boat is...it has been a really long time. Luckily all we had was a flat tire on the way but other than that the boat did great and we enjoyed our first trip to Colleto creek.
Of course every family needs a little adventure right. An unexpected trip to the doctor with a sick baby ended up in an ambulance ride to the ER. After chest x rays, lots of shots, several breathing treatments, and of course a popsicle we were released back home and Konnor was feeling much better. Dr. James still thinks he had pneumonia but the x rays weren't totally clear. A big scare but little ones recover so fast.
And before long he was back to playing and getting in trouble.
June also meant lots of time with cousins and that totally rocks. One weekend Tyler and Austin joined the Chances in Hallettsville and had all kinds of fun including frog hunting. What!? I know I wasn't there. I just heard the stories.

The Rakes also got to join us a few times and we loved all the laughter and noise. Lots of memories that will last a lifetime.
