Easter

I can't just skip Easter (as my husband told me to do because I am too late) but I will admit the fun stories are already a distant memory as I am writing this in June.  Several things do stand out.
1.  The number of people that are a part of Easter on Henke Hill.  I think this year we figured there was 90 total mouths to feed.  That's a lot of people and we were even missing the Rakes.  It's a lot of people, a lot of food, a lot of stories, and lot of kids and most important, a lot of love.  I really truly love our large Henke family and everything about it.

2. The Chances know how to do an Easter egg hunt.  The kids get so excited and there is no need to try to explain it, the pictures sum it up.  Kevin and Laura hide the eggs great, they hide a ton of eggs, they get money and there is no rush so that means no stress!

3. Dying eggs is a huge mess.  Yes they are pretty but I spent a lot of time going don't spill that, wait a little longer, wait your turn, they aren't done yet, wait your turn, that won't work.  You get the picture.
4. Not travelling for vacation is awesome!!  This happened at Christmas too but it really is so relaxing and we are so thankful to be in Hallettsville!
