2 more busy weekends

Sometime I assume we will have to slow down. Until that time gets here we just keep going with new activities every weekend.

Last week Kevin went on a fishing trip with work so Aunt Marla was gracious enough to keep Klayton for us on Friday and they always have a blast when they are together. Before I go any farther I have to give props to Aunt Marla and say that we are officially in potty training mode. We have been talking about it and have tried but the answer is always "not yet Mama." Aunt Marla had a great idea to just go in the bathroom and take the pants off and start playing and before you know it Klayton is asking to go "tee tee." It is working great and I'll keep y'all updated as we are excited to leave diapers quickly (even if just for a month or two).

I think this is a picture of them reminiscing of how Klayton used to roll from one end of the room to the other when he was just a baby.

Then we got a last minute visit from Aunt Linda and Uncle Lary. It was wonderful to visit with them and a great way to spend a Friday evening.

We then headed to Hallettsville for Sally's wedding shower. As usual the shower went off without a hitch and we enjoyed visiting with everyone. Klayton is really getting brave and playing with the cousins more and more. The shower was an evening event and Klayton, well let's just say he is used to bed time. So at 9:00 when all the other kiddos were getting ready to hit the pinata, Klayton wanted to go to bed and fell fast asleep in Tammy's bed. Can't hardly argue with that. Of course the only picture I have is once we got back to Austin and Klayton and Grandma were scrubbing the potatoes that Grandpa had sent with us (along with enough other vegetables to feed us for weeks, thanks).

Then this past weekend we headed to Canyon Lake for another camping trip. The weather was a little warm but much better than the hail storm we had last year at Canyon lake. We have been living in our house for almost 5 years and have always said we need to get together with our neighbors and we have never done it. Finally this weekend they decided to come with us. Poor Lara is 7 months pregnant and was a little uncomfortable, swollen, and hot but she was a trooper and didn't really complain. So here we are
enjoying the water...

playing some dominoes...

and as always enjoying great food.

It was a great weekend and a great mother's day with my boys. I hope everyone had a great Mother's day and enjoyed being with and thinking about their Mom's and all the special things we get to do because we are moms.

Then on Tues the girls came over to watch the finale of the Bachelor and Klayton invited Anneliese to do a little fishing in the front yard. They are quite the pair.

I can't believe how big Klayton is getting! And he'll soon have a lil' one to play with! :)
