Levelland Visit

I'm behind a weekend in writing these updates so now we have to back up just so I can share a few pictures of my nephews.

Melinda and baby Deuce (DJ) got to come in for a short visit last week and we enjoyed every minute of it. The visit started in Austin and Dad and Jeanette and Diane and Shorty (Dave's parents) got to come join us for the day. Aunt Marla and Melinda prepared a wonderful lunch and we enjoyed watching DJ laugh and grin and stare at Klayton (he really was obsessed with everything Klayton did, it is going to be so much fun for them to grow up together). Then we all headed to Levelland for the weekend. Whenever the three of us girls get together there is always plenty of chattering and cackling so the weekend go so fast but once again we had a great visit and the boys, well let's just say they are trying to play together but sharing is still not easy. I think the favorite toy of the weekend was Austin's car (of course this a car that a neighbor brought over and not one that Mom and Dad spent hard earned money on, why does it always work that way!!)

The boys also got to do some digging in the dirt. Aunt Carrie was very smart and had 2 dump trucks and 2 shovels.

The Daddy's also had a special treat for the boys: kites!! And there is no better place to fly kites than in west Texas. First Klayton and I both had some training.

Then as Klayton got a little more confident he did some flying with no assistance. And might I add that he was not the one that lost the kite (Melinda!!)

Unfortunately this is the only picture I took of DJ and I have none of Nathan. I guess I don't make a very good Aunt. Luckily my sisters share pictures with me. Nonetheless I enjoyed holding them and talking to them and I have no doubt that they will soon be chasing Klayton and Austin and all 4 of them will be up to no good. Boy are they in for a surprise when our new little girl joins the bunch!!
