What is Easter?

Is it about the bunny? He is plenty cute but a little scary to the little kids. And he does bring lots of goodies.
Is Easter about mouthfuls of candy and eggs full of favorite candy.
Or maybe Easter is about dying and decorating eggs. The colors are gorgeous when we get done and putting stickers on them makes them even prettier.
Or maybe it is about hunting Easter eggs. It is definitely fun running around and finding all the surprises.
Maybe Easter is up getting all dressed up and the pretty new clothes. Mommies sure have fun picking those clothes out.

Or maybe it is about truck rides looking for flowers and gathering pretty flowers from Grandma's house.
No, Easter is about Jesus dying on the cross for us and then rising from the dead. We have so many blessings and Easter is a time to thank Jesus for all he has done for us. Getting together with family is a great way to reflect on all our blessings and what a wonderful Easter celebration we had.

This blog was inspired by a wonderful book that Aunt Marla gave the kiddos but it rings true for all of us.
