Inks Lake

Another great adventure as they all are. This one started with a 60% chance of thunderstorms. Oh well that doesn't stop the Chances. We got down early on Friday afternoon and got a great site right on the water. Great shade and this time the tent went up much easier. So just about the time everything got set up came the 1st storm. We just sat under the shade tent and played dominoes and by the end of it, the kids had their umbrellas playing in the rain and then it was on to feeding the ducks. Kenzie is really good at that.
The storm cleared and we decided to take the boat out. One big problem. It wouldn't start. Again, oh well that doesn't stop the Chances. It has been a great boat and we have not spent any money on it so we probably deserve a trip that it doesn't start. So we just headed back to the campsite and the kids jumped in the water.

They don't really need the boat anyway. They have just as much fun without it.
The next morning was Klayton's end of year t-ball tournament and we didn't think he should miss it. For most people this would mean cancel the camping but even t-ball doesn't stop the Chances. We drove back into town and Klayton played great. He even got 2 outs one inning but the bad news is they won so we had to play again. We made the most of the afternoon, played again and lost and headed back to the campsite.

As you can tell, Klayton wasn't too upset about the loss. None of us really were. We were ready for the great family time.

Again we made this trip by ourself because we were gone most of the day on Sat but hopefully the next trip some of our friends can join in the excitement of Chance camping.

advice for the boat. Commit to using it. We make it a point to go camping once a month that way we feel like we are getting our money out of the boat. It helps that the boat was super cheap and we don't have high expectations
