Then Klayton decided to open one of the eggs during the hunt and discovered the good stuff and he was off. There wasn't much slowing him down after that. And when the grandkids sat down to comb through the loot we tried to get a picture. Tried! There was the dog that wanted in the picture, a few crying children, a few children way more interested in the candy and a few missing children but you get the idea.
And then finally it was time to enjoy the goodies and Klayton wasted no time!Taking pictures of the cousins wasn't much easier. There are a lot of us now and it always seems like someone is missing but we tried again this year and we are missing three of the cousins and 2 spouses. But here is a few of us!
On Saturday Easter continued at Grandpa and Grandma Jeanette's. Again the weather was cold and a little rainy so we opted for an egg hunt on the back porch but the boys enjoyed Easter surprises anyway. It was also a great day because the rain kept everyone inside so we actually sat on the couch and visited for a little while. Now that is a rarity at the Bob Henke house.
Austin was very cooperative and grabbed Klayton's hand to show him their Easter baskets (too cute!)
We should be so proud right?
Thanks Dad and Jeanette for a great weekend.
We always have a good visit!
Then Easter morning we were back at our house. Klayton woke up to more Easter suprises! His face seems to say, "I've got y'all figured out."
That afternoon we did another egg hunt with Laura and Kevin's mom but I'm missing pictures. This time the eggs were camouflaged so he needed a little more help but his favorite part was the bubbles (they were in egg shaped containers so once he found those, he was not going to be distracted for anything else). After all of the new toys and candy, guess what he did that evening. You got it play with the swiffer and enjoy every minute of it.Another holiday has gone by but once again we are reminded of how important family is and how blessed we are to keep our family so close. We enjoy every minute of it and know that Klayton is learning valuable lessons from his extended family as well.
