Halloween

I love fall!! Have I said that yet. Klayton had been dying to go the the pumpkin patch so we made a quick trip one afternoon and brought home a few great pumpkins to get us ready for Halloween.

We always celebrate Halloween in 3 or 4 steps and this was no different. The celebration started at the club (Kevin's work). He is in charge of a haunted hay ride every year. We make sure to catch the pre-dark ride so the kids don't dream of bloody faces an wake up screaming. I think it was still scary enough for Klayton.

Then we head inside and play a few carnival games and decorate pumpkins or whatever activities they have planned.

Then on Thursday the had the fall festival at school. I unfortunately missed the fun but Grandma took a few pictures and even brought along a few cheerleaders for the parade part of the day.

Finally it was time for trick or treating and they were ready to go way before dark. It didn't take long to have buckets of candy and tired little legs.
Jennifer, thanks for the kitty kat costume, Kenzie loved it. And despite a long search for a khaki shirt for Klayton, things turned out well. Now we can get ready for Thanksgiving and Christmas. What fun!!

Thanks for sharing your blog. Your kiddos are totally adorable (but I would expect no less). Love how Klayton's costume turned out! You did good (so glad you found the shirt).
