This particular lake is filled with memories from childhood all the way up to Kevin asking my dad for my hand in marriage. This year we added a few fun new memories. We did have to stay at a different campgroun because our usual was closed for construction so we were a little apprehensive. Never mind the fact that is was 100 degrees and I am pregnant.
We were not let down. The campgrounds were full of shade and the boat ramp was only a few minutes away and then we could find a ton of empty beaches with lots of play space for the kiddos. Friday night especially was unusual. It rained. I know. Crazy!!! and it rained a lot. Like over an inch in about a 2 hour time frame. That meant we ate dinner in the tent and then played cards and fun games like ring around the rosies. And that is where memories are made. The rain also made for much cooler weather on Saturday so we started the morning with fishing for Klayton and as usual eating for Kenzie.
Then after lunch were able to tolerate the sun and had a great time playing in the water.

And because no one braved this trip with us we spent even more time on the boat. The kids found a new seat to ride in the boat.
